BECOMING A TAMWORTH BUSHWALKER

The Tamworth Bushwalking and Canoe Club (TBCC) brings people together to enjoy the Australian Bush. All office bearers and trip leaders are volunteers. We plan walks at our monthly meetings, held on the first Wednesday of each month.

The TBCC was formed in 1972 and is one of approximately 70 member clubs of the NSW Confederation of Bushwalking Clubs Inc now known as Bushwalking NSW.

We participate in a range of activities, ranging from easy half-day walks suitable for anyone to more challenging day walks. We also go camping, canoeing, caving and orienteering.

Contact Kerry or Chris for information about joining the club.

Club Activity/Liability

Membership provides automatic insurance for personal accident and public risk while on an official club activity.

Every person participating in an activity organised by the TBCC does so as a volunteer in all respects and as such accepts responsibility for any injury to themselves however incurred. The Club, its office bearers and leaders cannot accept liability concerning any injury or damage suffered by any person whilst engaged in any TBCC activity.

All participants in any club activity must read and sign a risk waiver form, which the leader will present to you before the activity. Failure to do so may mean that you cannot participate. Further to this if the leader asks or directs you to do or not to do something and you ignore that request, you may not be covered by insurance in the event of a mishap.

Membership fee: Single - $25 Family - $40
