ACTIVITY GRADING SYSTEM

Maximum Kilometres/Day

Terrain

Fitness Level Required

[ S ]   Short - less than 10 kilometres

[ 1 ]  Graded Track - some incline

[ A ] - Low Fitness

[ M ]   Medium - 10 to 15 kilometres

[ 2 ]  Graded Track - hills, creek crossings

[ B ] - Moderate Fitness

[ L ]   Long -  15 to 20 kilometres

[ 3 ]  Rough Track - steep sections, creek crossings

[ C ] - Good Fitness

[ XL] Extra Long - over 20 kilometres

[ 4 ]  Off Track - moderate Terrain

[ D ] - Good Fitness with agility


[ 5 ]  Off Track - thick terrain

[ E ] - High Fitness level


[ 6 ]  Rock Scrambling and exposure

[ F ] - Strenuous, experienced walkers only


[ 7 ] River or Creek - flat water paddling

[ G ] - Suitable for less experienced paddlers


[ 8 ] White Water Kayaking/Canoeing - Rapids

[ H ] - Experience White Water Paddlers Only!

This program is subject to change, with deletions possible and additions to the program likely.

Most activities are subject to adverse weather conditions, and can be cancelled or re-scheduled.

Please contact the designated Activity Co-Ordinators to confirm participation, and to get more details of the activity and its grading.

Please do not attempt what you feel you may not be able or fit enough to do, as it puts pressure on other walkers!
